Sample Experience: VHG Labs chemists are familiar with a range of samples and sample preparation techniques. Often we tackle challenges that other laboratories turn away; including fusions, combustions, HF digestions, and organic solvents/samples. Typical samples are acid digested, either on a hot plate or in a microwave system, however we run directly when appropriate. We have extensive background with the preparation and analysis of organic solids and liquids. These may require full digestion or simple dilution in the appropriate solvent prior to analysis. Either way, we generally have all the necessary tools and regents on hand.

With all sample prep, we take measures to preserve the purity of the sample, including Class100 preparation, if required.

What Do We Measure? VHG Labs employs a range of techniques designed to provide quantitative and/or qualitative information on your sample. We choose the best technique based on analyte, sample type and required detection level. We specialize in elemental analysis and welcome inquires for all elements excluding hydrogen, the noble gases and radioactive species. We do not perform molecular (e.g. biological molecule) analysis, however we do analyze simple ions by ion chromatography.
