XRF Petroleum Standards and Supplies

S, N, Halogens and Metals Analysis of Petroleum Products

VHG offers a comprehensive listing of product offerings for the analysis of sulfur, nitrogen, chlorine, lead and other metals in petroleum products by X-Ray Fluorescence spectrometry and other methods. These standards are manufactured in accordance with the appropriate ASTM Methods under our ISO 9001:2000 certified quality system and certified under our ISO/IEC 17025. The list of standards includes:

  • Over 100 different sulfur standards, made from n-dibutyl sulfide or polysulfide oil, with concentrations ranging from blank to 6%, in 7 different matrices including white oil, diesel fuel, isooctane, kerosene, residual oil and crude oil for the analysis of sulfur in petroleum products by XRF spectrometry.
  • Ten different Drift Monitors and QC Check Samples, made from polysulfide oil, with concentrations ranging from blank to 2% in mineral oil for sulfur analysis.
  • Over 50 different standards for low level sulfur and nitrogen analysis by UV Fluorescence, Ratiometric Colorimetry, Combustion & Electrochemical Detection and Chemilluminescence.
  • Fifteen different standards for the analysis of chlorine in oil by XRF spectrometry.
  • Over 25 different multielement standards for the analysis of sulfur and metals in petroleum products by XRF spectrometry.
  • Fifteen different standards for the analysis of lead in gasoline by XRF spectrometry.

VHG also offers the broadest range of XRF sample cups that feature a unique Tri-Lock Taut Film™ design, that ensures a wrinkle-free, leak resistant, permanently taut window film, resulting in improved detection limits and replicate results. These cups are available in double open-end and one end closed designs, each with a proprietary lift tab feature that enables more reliable sample handling of full sample cups. In addition to the standard double open-end cups and closed-end cups, VHG offers cups that were specifically designed for Oxford, Horiba and ARL XRF spectrometers. VHG offers 5 different types of window film, each in a variety of thicknesses and shapes (rolls, pre-cut circles and pre-cut squares).
